I will write a drabble (100 words exactly) for anyone who the first ten people to comments and asks for one. In return, you must post this in your journal--if you feel so inclined. You may request the character and/or pairing - though I can't promise I will write them in a relationship - for the following fandoms:

• Bones (I know -- what a surprise! *g*  But feel free to request something besides Brennan and Booth.)
• Original (No fandom;  just give me a prompt, and I'll see what I can scrounge up.)
• Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I'm a little chicken about writing in this fandom because I have it up on a pedestal.)

I snagged the Buffyverse version of this meme from chrisleeoctaves.  Then the lovely and witty crankylex modified it. I liked her mods so much I asked if I could snag her version.  I modified it a wee bit further, and now we have this:

Copy this post into your journal (making sure to allow anonymous comments). People will then comment ANONYMOUSLY with the name of someone on their flist that they think others might enjoy reading... be it for their interesting meta posts, fabulous art-work, wonderful stories or just because they are an interesting person who they think others might benefit from knowing. I was tagged by love_kate_walsh & starlite_diner (Thank you, my lovelies!) , so it looks like I'm supposed to pick 10 people and give them the "You make my day" award.  I doubt the intent of this meme is to hurt anyone's feelings, but I freely admit I'm paranoid about causing anyone to feel excluded, so I'm not going to single anyone out.  Let me just that if we know each other here on LJ or elsewhere, you make my day.

Some of us have only exchanged comments a handful of times, while there are others of you with whom I communicate on a near-daily basis.  I treasure you all because while I don't believe in God, I believe in people.  It's my privilege to share in your joys, struggles, and stories--and to share mine with you.  Knowing each other through this medium isn't the same as sitting face to face over a hot cup of tea (or coffee), but it isn't any less, either. 

So, hugs to you all because you make my day.

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, and you update regularly and in detail. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they listen in rapture to the love-music of she-turnips."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who comment all the time. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear. 

ETA:  Post as many tidbits about yourself as you'd like!  You don't have to limit yourself to one.
