You wanna read "The Reader"? I'm currently reading it for school. It's very interesting. Short but good. I can only recommand one to read it. Even my friend who normally doesn't like reading, likes the book.

Well, I'll give you partial credit. *g* It's another one of those books that I've meant to read for a while but somehow haven't gotten around to yet. I gave it to my husband's cousin as a gift in '04 or '05 because it looked fabulous, and I'd heard such wonderful things about it.

Somehow just having these book titles down in black and white will hopefully nudge me toward actually reading them. When I'm at a library or bookstore, I often just can't remember any of the books I'd meant to read. Perhaps age is catching up with me. :P

I LOVE the In Death series. I just finished reading the newest book a couple of weeks ago. I've probably re-read the series 4 or 5 times now. I'll probably start reading it again later this year. LOL I can't get enough of it. If you ever get around to reading, it'll be hard to stop. :) I think you'd enjoy it.

Wow, a name I recognize: Ayaan Hirsi Ali. No wonder, since I live in The Netherlands... But I don't actually really what it was about anymore, oh right. I remember, but I won't say anything, in case it's in the book... ;)

And I'm reading "Het Parfum" too, in Dutch, that is, but anyway, enough random... :D

I highly recommend 'A Thousand Splendid Suns'. It really hits home, when you think of the freedoms American women have in comparison. Isn't 'Shantaram' being made into a move with Johnny Depp? I love this idea, your 'Book Log'. Mind if I borrow your idea?

This is such a cute idea! I'm definitely going to look into some of these books. I wish I had more time to read. Life's been kind of hectic so readings kind of been put on the back burner :(

Okay, I have to pass on the books for now (mainly because I deal with publishers all day at work), but I had to comment on your current music. I just picked up Kate Rusby a few months ago, and I am in love. She's on my pc at work, on repeat, and I can never get tired of her. :) So bravo on your choice!

Are you liking Neil Gaiman? If so, you should definitely read his collaboration with Terry Pratchett, "Good Omens." Amazing book. Don't know if you're much for religious humor, but it's a great book that even I (who rarely attends church anymore) could understand and be amused by the allusions. Humorous book - if you want I could even send it to you by mail to borrow (But I'd need it back - that book owns my soul!!)
