Wednesday Smiles

I mostly post fannish things in this journal, but I think it's easy to forget that there is a real person behind the fic and the squeeing over Bones.  Same goes for other people, of course.   So I'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our humanity.

Please tell me something that made you smile this week, no matter how small.  Could be the snuggle your dog gave you on Monday, the song you discovered on Tuesday, or the way your significant other smiled at you today.  I'm going to try to post this every Wednesday for myself, and if you feel up to it, please respond—here, in your own journal, or elsewhere.   Feel free to post more than one thing and/or respond to other comments.

Why am I doing this?  Because I think it is far too easy to get caught up in the stresses, big and small, that we all experience.   Being able to focus on one positive thing, however small, can give one a valuable sense of perspective.

Why Wednesday?  I figure a little mid-week cheer can't hurt.  :)

Also, I was lost in some town were I've never been before, a friend of mine was lost too, but somehow we ended up in the same bus... Without the use of a cellphone! :)

- My niece was asking for me every day when I was on vacation.

- My friends, the ones I was with last Easter. The tv shows we watched, the songs we danced, the games we played, the alcohol we drunk, the discussions about who's hotter --
Brennan or Maddie Hayes (BREN FTW, LOL), everything about those days makes me smile even today.

- My new T-Shirt of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada arrived today, just got to pick it at the post office, can't wait!

I used to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I was really little, but haven't seen in since I was like 8. But thanks to DB, I rented it the other night and I am TOTALLY IN LOVE! So that has made my week.

I bought a gorgeous and most awesome baby bath for my best-friend today. She's expecting her first child (a boy) at the end of July. I sent her a picture message on my phone to show her what it looked like and she replied saying, "Omg! That's awesome. Do they come in adult sizes?"... just like I knew she would. :)

Yes, quite literally. My best-friend and her partner are only children, so I'm the only Auntie this kid will have. And that's cool, I've been getting practice with my Niece, she's about 16 months old now.

I read 3x09 sides that I don't know why I missed back then when they where out and I laughed so hard with a particular scene between Brennan and Andy, the baby. I'm laughing right now just by recalling the scene in my head. Just amazing.

My boyfriend got me a Remy-the-rat from Ratatouille toy for Easter, which is filled with sweets. It is very, very cute and makes me smile whenever I look at it (I would recommend Ratatouille if you haven't seen the film - it's really funny).

I finished the first assignment for my Latin course. Hurrah!
