How do you "kneel and kiss the ground"?
Apr. 23rd, 2009 09:23 amEvery so often I'll read something that perfectly captures how I feel at that specific moment. Today it's the following poem, which was posted at
"Today, Like Every Other Day"
Jalaluddin Rumi
Today, like every other day, we wake up empty
and frightened. Don’t open the door to the study
and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.
Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.

The maintainer asked, "How do you 'kneel and kiss the ground'? And so I'll ask the same question here, for anyone who's willing to answer.
I answered, "By thinking, writing, and practicing the art of gratitude."
May you have many reasons and ways to "kneel and kiss the ground."
