*glares at the dvr which had apparently dropped Bones from its always record list when Brighthouse updated their software*
I actually think I liked the ep. Well, maybe not the B/B. That was still as subtle as a cage match. But, the rest I rather enjoyed. I especially liked Sweets, the Angela/Booth moments (which may make a shipper out of me, yet), Angela in general and Caroline. (I always love Caroline.) I felt pretty bad for Hodgins though. It's kind of like without Ang and Zack, he's left swinging on a rope with no one to catch him or haul his butt back up onto the cliff. :(
Solid episode. Thought it did a nice job balancing the lab with the case. Brennan examined bones!!! Definitely catch it on hulu or replay or something.
Yes. Watch it. I liked it, I thought it was cute, Caroline was there and there was good interaction between Booth and Angela. There was B/B but very subtle as usual.
Nice return to the science. Although, there were many moments when I was all "Zach would have figured all this out by now". But, I miss Zach. Sweets does not annoy me. I love Caroline. YMMV.
I thought it was a pretty good episode. I liked the Booth & Angela interaction. I enjoy their friendship and it was nice to see again. Since I actually remember the case, I'd say that was pretty good, too.
Also, I loved the necklace Angela had on 90% of the epi.
It was very Angela centric and she was very good. There was very little B/B except for a sledgehammer at the end, Sweets was actually cute and funny and my heart broke a bit for Hodgins.
I did my usual review, you can read it after.
Not a stellar ep, but very solid.
And I've given up on wondering how the FBI could possibly be involved in these cases because short answer: they wouldn't be.

Sorry, but I just have to pop in here to say I KNOW! LSQ pet peeve alert! We're always so careful to make our federal cases actually federal cases, but there is no way that the majority of theirs should be. Drives me just a little nuts because it's just another example of carelessness from the writers. They really should pay more attention to detail, but they simply don't. I guess they think we're not as smart or as observant as we all are!
Maybe I/we take it too seriously, but that just makes me nuts. This is what they do for a living, right? They're not just squeezing it into their spare time? But it certainly shows some unattractive disinterest on their part in my mind. It doesn't take that much time and that much research to do the job right. If we can do it, they can do it. You can still write it as a romantic comedy if you want (although I don't see it that way...), but you can still be accurate with your details and your continuity...
I just have to butt in and say WORD. I thought maybe I was crazy and didn't understand what a "federal case" really involved, but it seems to me anything involving death in or around D.C. is considered one in the Bones world. It was driving me nuts, too, until I decided I couldn't afford to care about it any more. :)
Yeah, but if you are going to write about it, I think you need to care. And of course I have the references to prove it (because I'm me...sad, isn't it? ;) ).
Oh, I'm not arguing they shouldn't care. I believe they definitely should be as accurate as possible. But considering how little they seem to care for accuracy in all aspects of the show, I've just concluded for my own sanity I have to give up caring what they do. Although it probably won't keep me from bitching about it whenever possible. :D
I just feel free to bitch. And then rewrite the ep the way that I think it should have been! ;) Hell, I rewrote the season three season finale TWICE I was so unhappy!
OMG I just read that list of crimes. Cruise ship crimes? I can't believe the Bones writers haven't taken advantage of that one yet. Maybe that will be the show's finale with B/B getting married at sea by the captain. LOL! *sings* The Love Boat...
But don't laugh -- we use that list at the beginning of every story to make sure that we've got a real federal case. That's how 'Human Puzzle in a Packing Crate' worked for us...the crime was on an oil rig in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico and out of state waters...
I didn't enjoy certain aspects of the case (it was another weak one IMO), but I loved the Angela/Booth moments (my first OTP on the show) and I enjoyed that they actually stepped back from the B/B long enough to let someone else have a storyline. Although it was truly weird seeing Angela in the passenger seat of the SUV.
Daisy was somewhat less annoying and verged on cute this time. Cam had her OOC moment at the end, but I'm not letting it bother me too much. All in all, I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10.
I liked the ending a lot. Sweets deserves some, even if it is with Daisy who wasn't as annoying as she was before. I liked Booth and Brennan trying to rationalize why it wasn't the two of them making out on the forensics platform, which of course was her main concern when Sweets and Daisy started going at it.
angela! and more angela! yay. finally more hodgins and angela acknowledgment of feelings. actual involvement from other people and not just let's-see-how-many-contrived-situations-we-can-put-bb-in. it was a good ep.
and i mentioned this on the 206 group post, but damn angela can kiss! hawt! *wants more*
oh, when you do watch it, see if you notice what i thought was a shipper shout-out.
I thought it was an okay episode, but I'll admit it was really nice to see for once that they focused more on another part of the team (Angela) than the usual B&B clobber-it-over-our-heads stuff. As much as I love B&B, it is a whole ensemble cast who deserve some love every now and again! :)
It was interesting, and there were some fun moments, but not my favorite this season. Still waiting on them to produce an episode that is Verdict quality :)
I was a bit *le sigh* at the Angela/Roxy stuff, as dh pointed out she had to be an oh so cutesy lesbian... but then would Angela have been interested in any other? ;)
However, there is amazing Sweets at the very end (and I of all people never thought I would say that) and the best conversation between Angela and Booth in the car halfway through that made me love him even more (I know, who'da thunk that was even possible?)
In other news I am finally watching Angel, thanks to Bertie shipping me her DVDs, and I'm on Season 1 ep 5 and he just walked out the shower all wet and half naked, so forgive any incoherence ;)
But go watch, basically. And if you don't have the ep saved anywhere let me know and I'll upload it somewhere for you, HD stylee *g*

omg, thank you for mentioning that spot! i'm gonna go watch that scene and go to bed happy!
btw, the whole first season of angel is available on hulu. so you shouldn't need to upload. ...tho we should make hd screencaps of that scene and spread the love.
Oh, I meant the Bones ep for upload - but yes, we so should screencap!
I'm not sure Hulu streams over here, so am grateful x 1 million to Bertie and her Angel obsession and her willingness to part with her precious DVDs ;)
How's this for apathy: my spouse watched it while I worked, andshe told me what scenes wereworth watching. Turns out there were only 2, one with Booth & Angela in the SUV and then arresting some guy. She was right; they were good. But nothing could have drawn me to the rest of it.
It's sad, but I really like having an extra hour a week!
