I found the post below  via metafandom , and I just have to link to it because I feel like I could have written it myself.   If you're a writer, please go read it. 

Writing doesn't always feel good when I do it, but it is always, always worth the effort.

I'm glad you read it. What she or he said is ultimately pretty simple, but it felt profound to me. I felt a twinge of recognition when I first read it. :)
