A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."
1. I've had a crush on my husband since I was ten or eleven; I am now thirty.
2. When interacting with other people, I always try to remember that everyone loves something, fears something, and has lost something.
3. David Boreanaz = Sex on a stick (Maybe you already knew that about me.*g* )
4. To me anyway, feminism is not a dirty word.
5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the first show I truly fell in love with. You never forget your first.
6. Tori Amos' 1000 Oceans and Kate Rusby's Who Will Sing Me Lullabies are guaranteed to make me cry.
7. I've been told I live in my head too much.

Second, I totally hear you on #5. For me, Buffy was the first show that really maximized the potential of the web to build a fan community. Buffy's the reason I got an AIM screen name (one I use to this day, ten years later); the reason I started posting on message boards (The Bronze, if you ever tread there) and Angel is the reason I found Television Without Pity, which has been one of my must-visit sites almost every day for going on six years now. I've moved away from Buffy/Angel to Bones, and Doctor Who, and Torchwood and The Amazing Race (among my other TV obsessions) but Buffy's where it all started, and it's been downhill ever since. :)

I got into Buffy late--the summer before she came back from heaven. I was peripherally involved in fandom, but I lurked a lot. It was and remains a fantastic show, and it opened my eyes to what tv–and fandom–could be. I know of The bronze and TWOP, but I admit I haven't been there much. I'll have to take a closer peek. :)
