A meme (because I got tagged)

[personal profile] siapom tagged me.  If you fall asleep reading this, blame her.

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."

1.  I've had a crush on my husband since I was ten or eleven; I am now thirty.
2.  When interacting with other people, I always try to remember that everyone loves something, fears something, and has lost something.
3.  David Boreanaz = Sex on a stick  (Maybe you already knew that about me.*g* )
4.  To me anyway, feminism is not a dirty word.
5.  Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the first show I truly fell in love with.  You never forget your first.
6.  Tori Amos' 1000 Oceans and Kate Rusby's Who Will Sing Me Lullabies are guaranteed to make me cry.
7.  I've been told I live in my head too much.

I tag:

*shrugs* I get blamed for all sorts of things, so go 'head. Bring it on. I can take it. :D

Oh! #2 is an excellent point. I must remember to try that. And #3 is...well...yeah. Definitely. lol

Aww... *squeezes you* ;)

I try to keep #2 in mind; I don't always succeed. *g*

#3 is practically a fact. *sigh*

Wow. This is true love. Congratulations!!! :)

David Boreanaz = Sex on a stick
Yes!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ Completely agree.

Besos

Thanks, Isabel. Yes, it is love. :) We've been together since I was 17, oddly enough. Pretty unlikely, but somehow it's worked. *g*

Amd there are no words for the deliciousness that is DB. ;)

I've had a crush on my husband since I was ten or eleven; I am now thirty. Wow! [is impressed.]

of course, I'll do this (I just did.) :-)

DB=sex on a stick. Really? [giggles.]

and as for feminism? I'm an old feminist broad, and I'm proud to say it. (But I suspect most of the folks who've been on my flist since 2004 already know that. :-) )

:) My husband and I got together when I was 17 (though we didn't marry then), and he's been stuck with me ever since. *g* Pretty unlikely, but somehow it's worked. *g*

As for DB, I know you agree with me. *winks at you*

I'm an old feminist broad, and I'm proud to say it.

Very happy to hear that--and not at all surprised.

Number 1 is just so sweet!

[identity profile] lerdo.livejournal.com 2008-01-25 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
:) Thanks. We've been together since I was 17, though definitely not married since then. *g* Love is a good thing.

Firstly, just want to reiterate the "awwwwww" for #1. That's so sweet!

Second, I totally hear you on #5. For me, Buffy was the first show that really maximized the potential of the web to build a fan community. Buffy's the reason I got an AIM screen name (one I use to this day, ten years later); the reason I started posting on message boards (The Bronze, if you ever tread there) and Angel is the reason I found Television Without Pity, which has been one of my must-visit sites almost every day for going on six years now. I've moved away from Buffy/Angel to Bones, and Doctor Who, and Torchwood and The Amazing Race (among my other TV obsessions) but Buffy's where it all started, and it's been downhill ever since. :)

Hi there! I don't think I've "seen" you here before. Welcome. :) My husband and I started dating when I was 17, and somehow we're still together. There are ups and downs and all that, but we're happy.

I got into Buffy late--the summer before she came back from heaven. I was peripherally involved in fandom, but I lurked a lot. It was and remains a fantastic show, and it opened my eyes to what tv–and fandom–could be. I know of The bronze and TWOP, but I admit I haven't been there much. I'll have to take a closer peek. :)

oh gosh you tagged me LOL

couldn't agree more with your number 3 & 4

*grins*

[identity profile] lerdo.livejournal.com 2008-01-25 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I did tag you. But I'm behind on my f-list, so I will have to check and see if you responded. *g* I bet you did, though. ;)

I'm glad we feel the same about 3 & 4, though I admit I'm not surprised--especially about 3. LOL

You never forget your first, eh?

I think I may have.

The first show I got totally into in terms of fic/pairing/fandom was Law & Order: Trial By Jury. But I was obsessed with Xena as a kid... and I'm sure there were more.
