31. Completion
Brennan flips off the light on the nightstand, but Booth switches it back on in spite of the way she rolls her eyes at him, because at the end, when she comes, he needs to see her face.
32. War
Though her feet have trod ground in countries rent by war, sometimes Brennan thinks the most dangerous journey she’s ever undertaken is the one that ends with her fingers meshed with Booth's.
33. Natural
After weighing the pros and cons and considering the geometry and cartography of partnership vs. romantic entanglement, it feels unexpectedly natural the night Brennan fills her lungs with Booth’s breath.
34. Breathing
When Parker was still a baby, Booth would wake in the middle of the night just to make sure he was still breathing; he does the same thing now – with the beautiful scientist who dreams by his side.
35. Walking
Brennan’s strides are long and authoritative – like she always knows exactly where she’s going – but Booth knows better now; sometimes she’s just looking for him, wanting to rest her head on his shoulder until she figures out her next move.

A/N: I read a poem today -- "One Star Fell and Then Another" -- by Conrad Aiken. Here's a snippet:
Let us be reckless of our words and worlds,
And spend them freely as the tree his leaves;
And give them where the giving is most blest.
What should we save them for,--a night of frost? . . .
All lost for nothing, and ourselves a ghost.
Isn't that lovely? I'm neither a poet nor a student of poetry, but my interpretation is that we should give freely of our hearts and our lives and our words instead of saving them for the "right" time. What does that have to do with this batch of sentences? Well, it inspired them.
I hope someone who reads my writing is touched by it; at its core, that's really all I want when I post fics here. OK, yeah, so I am a bit of a dreamer. ;)

There's a poem by Mary Oliver that reminds me of the same sentiment: The Summer Day (http://www.loc.gov/poetry/180/133.html).
Have a good day.

In my mind, there is no "just." I'm not talking about my sentences, but about writing in general. Oh, and thank you.

Thanks for the link. That seems like a great site. I'd never read the poem, but I had read this (http://www.hbs.edu/mba/profiles/PortraitProject/). Take a peek when you have a little time to read. :)
Have a good day.
Thank you! Hope you do the same.

I wish I could still write; my poetry muse hasn't been around in a while.

Maybe you could try writing something other than poetry. Maybe that would jog something for you.

Thank you for sharing. (The poem is beautiful.)
They fall and fall, and still the sky is sky.
Two more have gone, but heaven is heaven still.

Thanks so much for your kind comments; I'm glad you felt 33.
...I love the concept of 'giving freely of our hearts and minds instead of saving them for the right moment'.
It's not always easy to live that way, but it's certainly worth the effort to try.
I'm happy you're doing the challenge; it's neat to see what comes out of it. I'm not "officially" doing it; I just snagged a bunch of the prompts and am riffing off them.
It's terrific that you enjoyed the poem. It touched something in me, too.

Love the update. My favorite is #37.

Short of whatever I read in school and college, I've never been much of a poetry reader. It always intimidated me a little. But I'm now beginning to seek it out on my own and read it for the pure pleasure of it. Thanks for the recs.

You mean the one that hadn't been written yet? ;) *giggles with you*
