Wednesday Smiles

I mostly post fannish things in this journal, but I think it's easy to forget that there is a real person behind the fic and the Bones commentary. Same goes for other people, of course. So I'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our humanity.

If you'd like to do so, please tell me something that made you smile this week, no matter how small. Could be the snuggle your dog gave you on Monday, the song you discovered on Tuesday, or the way your significant other smiled at you today. I've been posting these since last December. If you feel up to it, please respond—here, in your own journal, or elsewhere. Feel free to post more than one thing and/or respond to other comments.

Why am I doing this? Because I think it is far too easy to get caught up in the stresses, big and small, that we all experience. Being able to focus on one positive thing, however small, can give one a valuable sense of perspective.

Why Wednesday? I figure a little mid-week cheer can't hurt. :)

i pretty much was behind organising most of the quiz night we're having on friday. i got the sponsorship and we have some goddamn awesome prizes. the tickets are sold out and the main worry is if we can fit in all the people who want to turn up in the location we're having it. i am really excited about it. :)

there were tiny children in little carts today at my uni. so much adorable.

my SO and i were sitting my the river and there were two tiny kids in bathers standing at the very edge of the jetty peering out debating whether to go in or not and i leaned over to him and mentioned that i had this overwhelming urge to run up to them and push them into the water at which point he stared at me, laughed and said that we were perfect for each other.

Two guys in the office have decided to form a band, because they have come up with a really cool name for themselves. Paddy says he will do vocals and guitar so Dave will learn to play the drums. I had to ask, so they told me proudly, they want to call themselves Balls Deep..... I said I didn't realise they were gay!! the looks on their faces...priceless.

Took my last regular Lit test this morning! Only one more class(tomorrow morning) and four exams(2 on Friday & 2 next Wednesday) until I'm finished for the semester! Woot!
