Remember Kristallnacht -- because atrocities should never be forgotten and never seem less horrifying.  Less immediate perhaps, but never less awful.

Ya know, I took German in high school so there was a lot of learning about WWII and the events that led up to it. (Might explain my continued fascination with the subject). Anyhow, Kristallnacht was one of the events that I couldn't fathom then and still can't wrap my head around now. Thanks for noting such a day.
